What We Do

Our construction services cover some of the most rewarding and involved projects a homeowner could choose, from major renovations to building a new home. To deliver the best possible service, we are committed to running no more than two projects simultaneously. This enables us to manage each project closely and develop positive working relationships with our clients.

‘Cornvial’, Millbank, Aberdeenshire.

We have undertaken a wide range of extension projects, including single and multi-floor additions, conservatories and sunrooms. We can match an extension to complement the existing home, or distinguish the addition using modern materials such as structural glazing, zinc, timber cladding, smooth render or weathered steel cladding. Most properties have untapped potential and an extension is a great way to make a home more enjoyable, as well as adding to its market value.

Bringing new life to old buildings is what Coldwells Building Company enjoy most. We have a special interest in refurbishing the historic structures found in abundance throughout Aberdeenshire. From traditional Scottish steadings, mills, byres and bothies, we take great care to preserve the charm and character of the original building, whilst creating highly functional homes fit for modern family life.

‘Woodstone House’ new build in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

We have established a reputation for building high quality homes, with a focus on reduced energy consumption and use of renewable technologies.

One of our largest projects to date was Woodstone House, a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home in Inverurie. We ensured the whole property was airtight to allow the implementation of a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery system. The energy-efficient system provides filtered air into the property, whilst reusing a large portion of the energy already used to heat the home. The project was featured on the Federation of Master Builders UK website. You can read more about it here.

Our renovations portfolio includes refurbishing historic Scottish farmhouses through to transforming dark, inner-city homes into bright, open-plan spaces. We marry the requirements of our clients with the architectural fabric of the existing building, creating homes that work on a modern and practical level.
